YYC Dance Project started as a concept to think outside the box of conventional dance training. It began from a desire to help young dancers prepare for the demands of the industry and to find their artistic self early in their careers so they had a better perspective on who they wanted to be as an artist and a creative force.
In this next stage, YYC Dance Project wants to take that focus from the student dancer to the professional dance artist. Whether it is consulting for Post-Secondary applications, coaching a competitive program to nationals or building an artistic vision, this next phase promises to be just as exciting and inspiring as the first. We are committed to supporting educators/directors, studios, companies, choreographers, dancers, and parents/guardians who are eager to deepen their practice and bring their own artists’ vision to life. We recognize that running a small business, whether it’s a studio, a program, or an individual dance career, can often feel overwhelming.
Through the YYC Dance Project Directive Mentorship, we curate personalized offerings and guidance tailored to each artist we collaborate with. Our goal is to create meaningful connections and work that empowers and inspires, helping facilitate the goals and dreams of those around us.
